Exploring the need to address climate change and ethical food choices, I partnered with some talented colleagues to developĀ Bounce Powder.
We dove deep into bugs, learning more about the cricket farming process, researching environmental impact, and creating our own protein mix.
Our competitive analysis revealed many companies in this emerging space to have more of a “crunchy” hippy vibe. To differentiate ourselves, we targeted alternative but serious millennial athletes who were willing to try new things that have a positive impact on the world and their own health. We believed this would address the major hurdles of the ‘yuck-factor’ with bug consumption in the United States.
Ultimately, the project was tabled until we’re ready to spring into action again.
